About me and my practice
If youre feeling anxious and stressed, unsatisfied in your relationships or career, would like support with specific issues such as self-esteem or self-confidence, or all of the above, there is support out there to help you start feeling better.
Your therapy sessions are a place where you can completely be yourself, where youre heard, understood, and supported without judgement. In our sessions well engage in honest conversations, go at your pace, work through challenges together, and set meaningful goals for your mental wellness journey. Through the relationship we create together, the transformative power of therapy can take place.
Therapy can help you:
Improve your relationships, both with yourself and with others
Find better ways of coping with anxiety, stress, and difficult emotions
Heal from past experiences that are impacting your current life
Develop a better understanding of your authentic self
Discover your needs and boundaries
As your therapist, I will bring extensive training and experience in working with different therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution focused therapy. However, to help you work towards positive change, our sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs and goals which can vary over time.

Qualifications
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. I use a variety of theoretical models and tools depending on your needs. I am a fully Registered Member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework.
Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I have extensive experience working as a management consultant in both private and public sectors.
Additional Information
I am British Sri Lankan and fully bilingual in English and Sinhalese. Having grown up between cultures, I understand the journey of blending different parts of who we are. Alongside an appreciation of the concept of feeling 'other'/different, I help individuals create a sense of self that honours all aspects of their identity. I am a mother.

I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision and it is important that you find a therapist you feel comfortable with, whether that be myself or other trained clinicians.
I offer a free 15 min consultation for all prospective clients interested in working together. This is an informal conversation to learn briefly about what brings you to therapy and to provide an overview of how I can work with you.
